Gigliola Curiel was the first Italian fashion designer to have an exclusive contract with Bergdorf Goodman, New York. This contract began in 1955 and women were able to custom order clothes from her line.

The long sleeves are unlined and have a deep ruffle. The dress has a center back zipper and it is lined in black silk. This is a great year round cocktail or short evening dress and it is in excellent condition.

At first glance this appears to be such a demure dress from Oscar de la Renta, except that it is bare down to there! The bodice has a glamorous low cut neckline and a ribbon laced corset front, it definitely reveals more
than a little glimpse of skin!
