The sheerest silk chiffon, patterned silk satin and black silk crepe are combined in this modern and elegant evening dress from Geoffrey Beene. The wearer is covered but gives the allusion of bare skin in this chic and sexy design.

The sheer chiffon top, long sleeves and back with a deep opening are both sexy and refined. The silk satin in an Oriental inspired black and cream print covers the bustline, dipping low in the back. The black silk crepe column skirt creates the look of a very narrow waistline and slim hips. Seven vertical seams add to this long and lean look. There is a kick pleat at the back for ease of movement. The dress has hooks and eyes at the neckline and wrists, and a center back zipper.

The label was removed by the former owner, but this dress is unmistakably Geoffrey Beene.  It is in excellent condition.
