Dior Numbered Couture
Dress
Feminine, ladylike
and sexy, this gorgeous red silk organza dress is from the 1972
Autumn-Winter Collection of the House of Dior, designed by Marc Bohan. It is from the estate of a titled French woman who was a
frequent client of the Couture Houses of Paris.
The low
neckline is surrounded by a double row of ruffled silk organza.
The bodice is boned and fitted above a natural waistline. The
long sleeves are a double layer of unlined fabric with a small
zipper at the wrist and they are finished with a double ruffle
to match the neckline.
The skirt has a
semi-fitted red crepe underskirt with an organza hemline. This
is topped by a double layered skirt of organza with a deep
ruffled hemline. There is a center back metal zipper and the
bodice and skirt are fully lined in a flesh toned crepe. The
Couture label is affixed to a side seam in the bodice.
This lovely
dress from Bohan for Dior is in pristine condition.
