Andre
Courreges Coat
Best
known for his futuristic, space age clothes, Andre
Courreges founded his fashion house in Paris in
1961. Courreges is credited as "the father of the
mini skirt".
His
ultra modern designs were widely copied through out
the world. This striking Space Age coat is a design
first created in 1966 and reproduced in the early
1970's by Courreges.
The
geometric shape of the coat is classic Courreges.
Shiny black polyurethane is used for this double
breasted coat. There are a dozen bright white snaps
on the front, and one on each cuff.
The
lightweight coat is fully lined in red quilted silk
satin. It is in pristine condition, and from the
estate of a French Countess.
