Haute Couture, custom made, special order, the best of the best, a classic Chanel Couture suit is all that and more. This classic Chanel suit made from black wool faille is a stunning example.

The jacket has notched lapels, two breast pockets, two hip pockets and a four button closure. There are three buttons on the cuffs and all of the buttons on the jacket have functioning buttonholes, along with hand finishing this is a mark of true couture clothing. The jacket is lined in black silk with the Chanel Couture label at the center back and the traditional gold chain weight at the hem.

The slim skirt has no waistband. There is a deep kick pleat at the left center front. The zipper is concealed in the seam at the left side of the back of the skirt. It is lined in black silk and bears the couture label at the center back.

The black silk blouse is collarless and sleeveless.  It closes at the center back with six hidden buttons and two snaps.

All three pieces are in excellent condition. There is a small area, about 1/4 inch, in the jacket lining that shows some wear. This was caused by rubbing against a Chanel chain belt and it does not show when the jacket is worn. It barely shows when you are looking for the area. In no way does this detract from the appearance of the suit.
