YSL Haute Couture Dress
Understated and elegant,
with a few subtle and unusual touches,
this snakeskin patterned silk dress from
Yves St Laurent Haute Couture is so
evocative of 1970's Paris style.
A long straight column of
silk, the dress has a low square cut
neckline. This is enhanced by two long
scarves that are attached at the back of
the neck and give the appearance of a
Victorian high collar from this angle.
These long scarves can be worn in many
ways. changing the appearance of the
dress in an instant. The long sleeves
have zippers at the wrist for a snug fit
and there is a zipper at the center back
of the dress as well. The dress is fully
lined in cream silk and bears the
numbered couture YSL label.
This dress is from the
estate of a prominent New Yorker who was
a member of the International Best
Dressed List and a recipient of the
French Legion of Honor Medal, denoted by
the red ribbon on the dress. It is a
wonderful wearable size and appears
unworn. It is in pristine condition.
