Rare Givenchy Haute Couture Hot Pants Suit

Hubert de Givenchy designed this very chic hot pants suit in the early 1970's. These short shorts were all the rage for a brief period in time. This is a rare item from the Haute Couture collections of that time.

The tailored double breasted blazer is cotton velvet, styled with faux pockets and a weighted hemline and it is fully lined in dark blue silk. The silk crepe blouse is half cream and half navy, and designed in a low cut wrap style. The sleeves are full and the cuffs have snap closures. The hot pants are cotton velvet like the jacket. They have a navy silk waistband and a left side zipper. The lining is navy silk matching the jacket. The three piece suit is in excellent condition.
