Pauline Trigere 2 piece dress

Bergdorf Goodman took custom orders for Pauline Trigere dresses.  The label tells us that this chic two piece dress was ordered by a former Miss America in the Fall of 1958.

Sheer black silk chiffon is used for a playful bow and long streamers on the hip length top of this two piece dress.  Sleeveless, with a low cut neckline and a metal side zipper, the top is beautifully constructed.  It is fully lined in black silk and bears the labels of Pauline Trigere and Bergdorf Goodman.

The narrow skirt has a fitted waistband, metal side zipper, a generous hem and it is also lined in black silk.  The skirt bears the custom order label from Bergdorf Goodman.

This chic and stylish outfit, with an interesting provenance, is in excellent condition.
