Fanciful Feather Hat
A fine and fanciful
French feathered hat, made in the late 1950's for Bergdorf Goodman,
New York, this flirty little chapeaux has never been worn.
The original price
tag is still inside, $59.95, as well as a tag that indicates it was
sold by Bea. This forerunner of the pillbox style made famous by
Jacqueline Kennedy is covered in cream colored feathers, applied in
a clockwise pattern onto a rigid net form. Iridescent long stemmed
feathers are scattered over the hat providing movement and a
touch of humor.
The hat is labeled
Bergdorf Goodman and Made in France. It is in pristine,
unworn condition.
