Colorful and Cheerful Cocktail Dress

I just love this dress, so much so that it is the second one that I have offered on the site.  The 1950's floral silks used by Christian Dior are the obvious inspiration for this charming and romantic dress from the 1950's.

Many shades of pink from the palest to deep rose are used in combination with several shades of green and orange in this vibrant silk print fabric.  The background is a clear white silk covered with a vermicelli pattern of white bugle beads and prong set rhinestones.

The fitted bodice has a scoop neckline and cap sleeves above a natural waistline and it is lined in silk organza  The skirt is composed of several elements; a very fitted straight underskirt and a bouffant overskirt.  This overskirt is a triple layered full skirt with stiff netting underneath for added fullness at the hips. Both layers are lined in white silk.

This sweet but sexy dress is a real attention getter, it is in excellent condition.
