What a great looking coat from the 1940's, lightweight burgundy wool with a flattering and practical hood.

The shoulders are slightly padded, there is one matching fabric covered button at the neck, and the coat is cut in the full swing coat style. There are two pockets and turned back cuffs for added flair.  The hood, an unusual design element at this time is quite lovely, with added detail at the neckline.

The coat is lined in a matching burgundy satin and it is in excellent condition.
