Gorgeous antique silk embroidery has been painstakingly cut from a Chinese silk shawl and lovingly appliquéd onto this soft French blue cashmere sweater.

Another sweater from our talented Southern lady, she made over 100 in her lifetime. This one dates from the late 1950's and is done in the style of Helen Bond Caruthers. Exquisite cream colored silk embroidery adorns the neckline, front opening and sleeves of this sweater. The buttons have been removed, the button holes concealed, the cuffs and waistband turned under for a sleek, fitted look. The sweater is lined in a matching blue silk with a hand sewn feather stitch embellishment. This lovely vintage sweater is in excellent condition.
