Mme. Gabrielle Cashmere Sweater

Mme. Gabrielle designed this sweater exclusively for Bonwit Teller, the upscale New York City department store, in the 1950's.

She used a super soft coral cashmere cardigan and turned the cuffs and the hem inside for a better fit. She added decorative gathered coral velvet ribbon to the neckline and wrists. The original buttons were replaced with matching velvet ones, [there are extra ones in the side seam] and then Mme. Gabrielle added her custom label. This sweater is unbelievably soft and the color is so flattering, best of all it is in pristine condition.
