Beaded Cutwork Jacket

This is such an elegant little jacket from the 1950's, the floral cutwork design is completely covered with beadwork and lined in sheer black silk chiffon.

The style is quite simple, round neckline, 3/4 length sleeves and concealed hook and eye closure at the center front. It is all about the embellishment, the beadwork is quite lavish and it is even three dimensional in places. The jacket is outlined with a single band of sequins bordered by caviar beads and every bit of the cut work floral design is beaded. All of the leaves are done with sequins and bugle beads and the large flowers are built up with circular rows of sequins centered on a large black bead. This chic little jacket is so versatile and very wearable. It is in excellent condition.
