Beaded Butterfly Evening Gown

A black crepe evening gown from the war torn 1940's is enlivened by a beaded bouquet of butterflies.

The simple design of the cap sleeve bodice is perfect for this oversized beaded motif. Rising up from the waistline are alternating arcs of bugle beads and sequins. The bugle beads are topped by a butterfly, seven in all, of bugle beads and sequins.

The long skirt is enhanced by a generous peplum that dips to a point at the center back. There is a metal zipper on the left side and a button and loop at the back of the neck. This cheerful dress is in pristine condition.
