Wilson Folmar for Jay-Thorpe Dress

Wilson Folmar designed for Jay-Thorpe and Maurice Rentner before moving to Edward Abbott in the 1950's. This dress is a gorgeous example of his feminine evening dresses.

The bodice and halter strap are ruched black silk chiffon over taffeta. The fabulous full skirt is made from black silk taffeta and bears the Edward Abbott label. This is a gorgeous cocktail dress, perfect in every season, and it is in excellent condition.
