Lacey Knit Sweater Dress

I just love this 1950's sweater dress and have never owned anything quite like it before. It is so feminine, figure flattering and comfortable, a rare combination in one garment.

The dress is made from a fine and soft yarn in an alternating diamond pattern. Some of the diamonds are a solid knit and the others are quite lacey and open. The collar, waistband and cuffs are knit in a very fine ribbed stitch. The skirt is full and completely lined with black cotton tulle for body. The diamond patterns in the skirt are done on a much larger scale than the ones in the bodice and sleeves. This stylish and comfortable dress slips on over your head in true sweater girl style, and it is in excellent condition.
