Bergdorf Goodman Dress & Jacket

What a great 1950’s cocktail dress from Bergdorf Goodman! The fabrics are so sumptuous, the kind of rich, heavy satin that you can only find in vintage clothing.

The dress has a cream colored bodice that is covered with a vermicelli pattern of silver bugle beads. The neckline and the sleeves are outlined in rows of these beads. The skirt is cut very full, and gathered into the bodice with wide flat pleats. There is a short tulle petticoat for added fullness. A matching black satin jacket completes the ensemble. Both pieces are in excellent condition.
