Someone removed the label from this elegant 1950's silk and satin dinner dress, but the quality of material and workmanship is obvious.

Gorgeous fabric, hand finished seams, and a strapless bustier are all indications of the high level of craftsmanship in this dress.

The black silk bodice has a portrait neckline, with a collar that can be worn up or down.  The ecru satin cummerbund cinching the waist is accented by a black velvet bow.  The cream colored satin skirt falls flat over the hips with deep inverted pleats adding fullness to the skirt.  There is an interior bustier as well as an organdy peplum which adds body to the skirt.  The dress has a metal zipper and hooks and eyes at the center back.  This glamorous silk and satin dress is in excellent condition.
