Etro Arnica
Trunk
This
luxurious trunk was created by Etro, Milano in a
very limited edition in the 1980's. What a perfect
place to store your most precious vintage couture
clothing!
The
Italian design house Etro is world famous for their
unusual prints. These are used on clothing,
accessories, handbags and luggage; this piece bears
the famous Arnica pattern.
Trunk # 33 was retailed by the Beverly Hills, Ca.
Etro store and it is in such immaculate condition
that it looks brand new. Hand crafted in Italy,
this extraordinary trunk is equal to any piece
produced by Louis Vuitton or Goyard. It is however
far more rare, Etro only made a limited number of
these pieces in the 1980's, now they are only made
as a custom order.
The
exterior is covered with the Arnica paisley pattern,
accented with mellow wood and rich brass trim, as
well as leather handles and the key clochette. The
exquisite brass hardware is stamped Etro.
The
lid opens to reveal two lift out trays, one with
Arnica covered sections and one lined in beige
fabric stamped Etro. The front of the trunk swings
open in two sections to reveal three paisley covered
drawers that slide out and rest on brass runners on
each front door. Leather plaques bear the Etro logo
and the trunk number 33.
There are two elaborate brass keys inside the large
leather clochette. The trunk glides effortlessly on
brass casters concealed on the bottom. This rare
and unusual trunk is in pristine condition inside
and outside.
