San Francisco Yacht
Club Handbag
This 1960's
nautical themed purse is decorated with signal flags
spelling out S F Y C, as well as the red, white and blue
yacht club flag of the San Francisco Yacht Club. Founded in
1869, it is the oldest yacht club on the Pacific Coast.
The bag
has a wicker look, but it is actually made from woven
plastic, with a frame and handles of bakelite. The
front of the bag is decorated with the signal flag motif
against a red felt background. This is trimmed with
red, white and blue ric-rac. The bag has a zippered
center compartment and two open sections on either side,
one with an interior pocket.
This
charming bag is in excellent condition.
