Caviar Beaded
Box Bag
Rarely do
I buy beaded bags but this 1950's example by Marguerite
Fresse is just so appealing on so many levels.
The
tiny, tiny caviar beads cover the entire bag. Even the
bottom is completely beaded. The golden accents are
sleek and subtle, lending a contemporary air to this
vintage piece. The interior is lined with a striking
magenta satin. There are two open pockets and a beveled
mirror attached to the top of the bag. The mirror is
the only part of the bag that shows any sign of age.
The interior lining and the beadwork are pristine.
The bag
is stamped in gold; Made in France, Marguerite Fresse,
