yourself "Best Dressed" in this smashing daffodil
yellow beaded dress and jacket from the early
1960's. Perfect for a red carpet event in
Hollywood, you will be a knock out everywhere you go
in this glamorous outfit.
The
dress has the look of old Hollywood, there is a very
fitted bodice with many darts for shaping, topped by
skinny spaghetti straps, and the gently gathered
skirt is narrow with a deep slit on one side for
ease of movement. The jonquil yellow silk is covered
with opalescent sequins and there is also a random
pattern of large flowers and leaves worked in silver
metallic thread. This is further enhanced by large
and small prong set rhinestones and silver bugle
beads. The dress has a center back metal zipper and
it is fully lined in silk.
The
stunning jacket takes its' shape from the Orient,
short, collarless, with wide kimono style
sleeves. It closes with large fabric covered
snaps. The real surprise is the lavish ermine
lining! This lining is so well done that the jacket
is reversible. There are two fabric loops at the hem
to use when hanging the garment.
Cafe society or old Hollywood glamour, you can't
help but feel like a star in this stunning gown and
matching evening jacket. Both pieces are in pristine
condition.
