Ken Scott Flower
Power Dress
World famous
for his amazing prints and psychedelic colors Ken Scott was
born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and trained at the Parsons
School of Design before moving to Italy and starting his
fashion business.
He began as
a painter and counted American heiress Peggy Guggenheim as
an early patron. In 1954 his career got a boost when
Christian Dior selected one of his flower prints for his
Couture line. His clothing was worn by celebrities and
socialites, including Jacqueline Kennedy and Audrey
Hepburn. The Ken Scott Foundation has recently granted a
license to relaunch a ready-to-wear collection, but who
wouldn't want to own an original period dress like this one.
This
amazing cotton floral print transforms the shirtdress, his
most popular style. Every shade of blue, green and lavender
is used in this riotous garden print of tulips, hyacinths
and daisies. This beautiful dress is collarless with a high
neckline, long sleeves and 26 fabric covered buttons down
the front. You decide how many you need to button!
This is a
great go anywhere dress in the most cheerful of prints, and
it is in excellent condition.
