Hanae Mori Knit Dress
This late 1960's wool knit dress from
famed Japanese designer Hanae Mori
definitely has its style elements in the
Far East. The deep V shaped neckline
echoes the lines of a kimono, and the
generously cut sleeves are clearly
inspired by this same Japanese garment.
The neckline is outlined in red and
green bands, these also border the wide
decorative bands on the sleeves, showing
off the flowers on a beige knit
background. The waistline is narrow and
worked in a ribbed knit for a close fit,
echoing the look of an obi. The narrow
A-line skirt also has a wide band of
flowers accented by red and green bands.
The dress slips on over your head and it
is made from a very fine and soft wool
knit. It is marked a size Medium but
please check the measurements for
accuracy.
