Norman Norell Cocktail Dress
Classic lines and
Couture quality tailoring are hallmarks of the clothing designed
by Norman Norell in the 1960's.
This elegant
black wool dinner or cocktail dress typifies the simple elegance
of a Norell design, and in a very wearable size as well. The
sleeveless dress has a V neckline and it is double
breasted. There are six large glittering rhinestone buttons and
two large patch pockets for ornamentation.
In a twist on
his typical design Norell has added another set of six buttons,
complete with working buttonholes, to the back of the dress. Now
you can be just as pretty coming and going.
The dress is
lined in black silk and was retailed by I. Magnin. It is in
excellent condition.
