The cheongsam is defined as a body hugging, one piece Chinese dress that is also known as a Mandarin gown in English.  This glamorous example is both hand made and hand embroidered.

Delicate pastel colored butterflies flutter across the luscious cream colored Chinese silk. The collar is embroidered with two diminutive butterflies. This detachable collar is held in place by a series of hidden snaps as well as the frog closures at the center front.  The dress closes on the right side with more of the traditional silk frogs.

This vintage cheongsam is all hand made and lined in a matching cream colored China silk.  This striking garment is in pristine condition.
