Beaded
Evening Jacket
A late
1930's evening jacket is embellished with meandering
ribbon like bands of star shaped sequins and gold
braid. The perfect little accessory to dress up any
outfit, think of it as piece of jewelry.
The
lightweight butter cream colored wool jacket is
bordered with the matte gold star shaped sequins and
metallic braid in addition to the scroll work that
covers the body of the garment. The collarless
jacket has a zipper at the center front for a snug
fit. The short sleeves have four seams at the top
for a fuller shape, there is no padding in the
shoulders. The hemline dips lower in the back for a
figure flattering look.
Lined in cream colored silk, the jacket was retailed
by B. Altman Paris and New York, and it is in
pristine condition.
