Bias Cut Crepe de Chine Nightgown

I am just amazed that no one ever slipped into this exquisite 1930's bias cut silk nightgown. It still bears the original tag from R.H.Macy & Co.

All hand made. The details are amazing and the quality is superb. It starts with a little bit of smocking at the shoulders, then the gorgeous creamy lace at the neckline and arms. An appliquéd floral panel accents the neckline, and there is a fitted waistline with slender ties. The hemline has a slit that is embellished with an appliqué and the hem is finished in a generous band of lace. Never worn, this piece is in pristine condition.
