Both beautiful and wearable, this 1920's dress in a flattering shade of peach, can be worn and enjoyed for many years to come. The secret to its longevity is the cotton fabric, sheer enough to be glamorous, yet strong enough to hold the beadwork. Probably made in France in the mid 1920's the dress is profusely decorated with small white glass beads and larger tan wooden beads. Inspired by the Art Deco designs of the day there are undulating bands of beads, circles and teardrops, all bordered by linear bands of beadwork.

The back of the dress repeats the beaded motifs, and has two ruffled panels from the waistline to the hem for added interest. The matching belt remains with the dress, and the garment is in excellent condition.
