Buttery yellow China silk is profusely hand embroidered with the same color silk thread in this cardigan style jacket, circa 1920.

The design elements in this jacket are breathtaking.  The central motif on the back of the jacket has a dragon looking down on a large peacock perched in a tree.

Chinese people are gathered outside an Oriental building decorated with lanterns and a fountain.  All of these motifs are repeated on the front and sleeves.  The jacket is lined and bordered in butterscotch colored silk chiffon.

This elegant and wearable jacket is in excellent condition.
